Being charged with a DWI was the worst experience of my life. Dealing with the entire legal system and the many “crook” attorneys trying to get my “business” was probably the second worst. Judging by many different reviews of other attorneys on this website, I’m not the only one who has maybe had a very bad experience with a defense attorney…but TOM HOOTON IS A GREAT ATTORNEY. Tom was responsive from day one, and never stopped being responsive. He took the time to answer my many questions, all the while being respectful, and helping me to ultimately make the best decisions for me and my family. But don’t let his wonderful “bedside manner” fool you. When it came time to deal with the DA and courts, he flat got down to business. Jail time and HUGE fines are not uncommon for DWI offenses. As a citizen and father of two, Tom understood what is at stake for me and family and truly took it upon himself to go to bat for us. Not only did I get a better deal than I could have dreamed of in my situation (probation, NO JAIL time), but he got another related charge completely DISMISSED and the DWI reduced to a Class B Misdemeanor. I now even have a chance to fight for non-disclosure of my offense, and I have no doubts that his tenacity and expertise will help us find success there as well. In short, I can honestly say that he takes a personal interest in clients and will FIGHT when needed in order to ensure the best possible outcome for his client. Yes, I would recommend the law office of Tom Hooton! Hey, I did the crime. Most want their lawyers to wave a magic wand and man I’m realistic. I understand if they don’t put on certain evidence, it’s because that evidence would hurt me. He got me one awesome deal and worth every penny I paid that man. He allowed me to make payments, which helped. So for all you criminals out there, quit being cry babies; you did the crime, it’s not your lawyer’s fault you are where you are. Mr. Hooton is a great lawyer! This was my first DWI case and even my first time going to jail so I have no experience with the system. After receiving his letter in the mail, I saw he only worked on DWI/DUI cases so I knew he would be the most knowledgeable. When I called him on the phone, he asked me questions about what happened the night I was arrested and gave me some peace of mind about my case. He understood I lived out of town and worked with me on that. After pushing my court date back so the DA may evaluate the evidence, the DWI is off my record!

For starters, drinking and driving is one of the most unintelligent decisions someone in this day and age can make. One, because you’ll never get away with it, and two because you are putting everyone around you in danger. I am truly very sorry for what I have done, and thank the lord no one was hurt. My family is so pissed at me for getting a DWI but they bailed me out by paying for my lawyer. They are still pissed at me but since Tom took care of all the work and helped get me out of jail time, they are a lot happier with me now. I’m still going to be able to graduate and so then hopefully we’ll never talk about this again but if you’re looking for a good lawyer then Tom will help you out and your life won’t be ruined. I hired Tom to defend me on a DWI and POM case. I registered 0.14 BAC. I was surely convicted; however, Tom tried the case and all but had the case won, showing the state could not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. Unfortunately, additional evidence mysteriously appeared in the jury room leading to a mistrial. I plead guilty on an obstruction charges, leading to 1-year probation and community service. Ultimately, I’ll take the Obstruction over the DWI. I’m grateful for Tom’s efforts as he represented me adequately and fairly! At the end of the day, I’ll take the small victories as they come!
If you need a lawyer, HIRE THIS MAN! I’m from out of town and took a shot. I was facing a lot of trouble. If you didn’t know, that state has no leeway. I recognized that the courtroom felt his presence the second he walked in, literally. His energy and recognition stood out from all of the other lawyers. That’s experience on display for you which is comforting to watch being from out of town. I felt safe. When I left, I told my lawyer friends back home the results and they told me that my results were literally the “best case scenario.” 50 stars if I could. So thankful for him. Yes, I paid him well. But other lawyers were wanting a “whole lot.” He was actually the only reasonable price for Texas, everything is just expensive down there compared to when you’re from west KY. I want to speak straight to the ones that feel like their whole world has just fallen down around their shoulders and everything looks black; that’s how I felt after I was arrested for my third DWI. So you start searching for a lawyer and not knowing anything about them you have to choose one. Don’t know why I chose Mr Hooton. He just stood out of the crowd of fake lawyers. Soft spoken not a big man in size but listens to what you have to say. But when in court he grows 10 ft tall and all the experience of a lifetime in court comes out.
